I second what Justin Houser has said about relationships. My father's only sibling, a brother, died young at age 38 and left two preschoolers. for many reasons his affairs were a mess and it took my father and a family friend several months to straighten things out. In the meantime the family friend's wife died suddenly leaving him with two school aged children. They married about a half year after the deaths of their spouses. They kept in close touch with my parents and me and my sibs over the years. My spouse's family reunion got to the point one year of the ex son in law and his significant other showing up for the same reunion as the daughter and her new spouse. Jean
