CHARLOTTE - Quite frankly, I'm not even sure why I have these people in my database as they are not my kin . . . at least, not direct blood-kin . . . at most, "shirt-tail relatives" (i.e., relatives of relatives). I will make whatever changes are necessary in my d.b. concerning these . . . maybe none, actually -- except to remove MAZE as maiden name of Mary 1827-1898, wife of John 1813-1883. (Do you happen to know this Mary's maiden name?) The only child my d.b. shows for said couple, anyhow, is Wm. M. Sweeny 1864-1937 who m. 1-9-1896 to Margaret C. "Maggie" Foust 1873-1941. Aha! I see! This last named couple are parents of Ralph W. Sweeny who m. Pearl Edna Fishburn. They were very good friends of my parents during my growing-up years in Lemont. I know my john married Furey, because they have a bunch of children. then she died possibly in childbirth about 1845. great great John remarried... Mary Maze (could be MAYES) in 1847 and had 2 more kids... my great JOHN is youngest. I have been working on the Potters Mills side as well, but not too hard. I know about that Mary's death. our John died before his wife but the grave inscription is as follows (her body was not recoverd or identified after the flood) "Mary Belle Lontz, Tombston Inscriptions of Centre Co, page 41, SWANEY, John d. 8/28/1887, 77y4m26d wife Mary A. age 74y Lost in the Conemaugh flood 5/31/1889" BUT, thanks for the quick reply and info.... John's two sons Jeremiah (by Furey) and John (by Maze) are buried side by side in Pleasant Gap Lutheran Cemetery. Charlotte Swaney Schmotzer
