The Watson family had connection to the Pennington family by the marriage of Ellen Watson to Robert Pennington in 1821. I would love to hear from anyone with more information or connections to this family. It looks like only one child John lived to possibly carry on the Pennington name. Here is the information I have: Ellen (also called Nelly or Eleanor) Watson (daughter of James Riddle) married Robert Pennington, born September 3, 1798, died February 3, 1854.[1] on October 4, 1821, Rev. William Stuart presiding.[1] They lived in Centre Hall, Pa. Notes on Ellen and Robert Pennington: Listed on the 1850 census in Potter Township. Children of Ellen Watson and Robert Pennington are[1]: Ann C. Pennington, born about 1825, died 1827, age 2 years. (buried in Pennington Cemetery) Margaret Pennington (Toller), born about 1824. Agnes Pennington (Benner), born @ 1835 John Asbury Pennington, born December 30, 1830. Susannah Pennington (Seely), born about 1828. Robert Henry Clay Pennington, born about 1843, died April 4, 1850. age 7 years and 22 days. Marjorie Pennington, born 1838, died January 10, 1839, age 9 years.
