My mother made chocolate bread pudding by substituting chocolate bits (Nestle's semi-sweet morsels) for the raisins. This is the only way I ever had bread pudding until I went to college. What a disappointment it was to discover the dark bits in the pudding served at the dorm cafeteria were not chocolate, but raisins! I have since learned to enjoy bread pudding with raisins, but it cannot top the pudding made with chocolate. Pat
