One of my GG's John Sweany -- married a second wife...MARY MAZE, (first wife, Mary Ann {Margaret} Furey)... I think Mary Maze was married previously, although I can find no records of Mazes anywhere....not a father or husband.... (she was a victim of the Johnstown Flood...passenger on the Day Train, possibly, but unconfirmed--with one of her daughters and grandkids) any body have any MAZE's hiding in their records? also wondering about the spouse of JULIA KANE McCafferty.... there is a Dennis but he is a long time resident and probably not the spouse of Julia and father of her brood which came from Ireland in the late 1840's-50's another possibility is James McCafferty. kids include Alexander, Bridget (GGG Grand), Charles, Richard,Catherine, Susan and Thomas. Bridget married JOhn McDermott ...kids...Everina, Charles, Johanna, Kate {Catherine}(married John Swaney{GG Grand}), Julia, Josephine, Susan, James, Mary (Mollie), Maggie (Margery), John any info on any of these lines would be appreciated. most of the McCafferty's and McDermott's seemed to disappear from the county by the 1890's Swaney's moved to Clearfield.
