Whoa, never went to a spelling quite like that... actually the Swaney's-Sweeny's-Sweany's-Swiney's were part of the earliest settlers in Pleasant Gap, stayed in the county for several generations (about 100 years) then moved to Clearfield and then Indiana counties, with one family moving to Harrisburg area and one member --Kyler--missing. after Indiana county some moved out of state to Michigan. I am in contact with all of those families, but have no knowledge of Illinois family, and predecessor were John and sons Michael and George who were Scots-Irish and came over from Ireland. John, son Michael and grandson John are mentioned in the HISTORY of Pleasant Gap available on line. however, I will copy this information and keep it "just in case!"
