She had been at the home for four days. She was born March 16, 1906, in Ferguson Township, Centre County, the daughter of George A. and Alice (Woodle) Burns. She married John Orace Hoffman on May 24, 1923, in Cumberland, Md. He died March 7, 1980. Mrs. Hoffman was a life member of Christ United Methodist Church, Tyrone, and a member of the former Mae Dubbs Sunday School class. She was employed at the former Tyrone Laundry Co. for many years. Surviving are three daughters: Louise MacLachlan of Fort Washington, Ardenia Corman of Shippensburg and Joyce Boyer of Tyrone; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone. HOFFMAN -- Services for Luella Hoffman of 1402 Blair Ave., Tyrone, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, by Dr. Dennis Reedy. Interment at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Derman Funeral Home. Contributions in her memory may be offered to the Christ United Methodist Church, 14th Street and Pennsylvania Ave., Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
