I am a Rowles descendant of John and Lydia, but have also been looking for any details of Mary thinking that it may lead to learning who John's mother and father were. It is my current premise that John was born in America rather than in England as I had previously supposed. My grandfather is Alvin Fagan Rowles son of Miles Reed Rowles, son of Price Alexander Rowles, son of Harman Fagan Rowles, son of John (and Lydia Whippo) Rowles. It is my current presumption that Lydia went to live with John and Mary to help Mary with the household management during her last pregnancy (with twins?) which appears to be in 1792 and which may have caused or resulted in her death. As near as I can tell, the Whippos may have originally come from Maryland, but I have scant details to corroborate that thinking. Anything you could share on Mary, Lydia, George Jr. and/or his father George Sr. (and their wives) would be most gratefully and sincerely appreciated.
