STINE Of 4019 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, formerly of Tyrone, died at noon yesterday, April 4, 1973, in Holy Spirit Hospital, Harrisburg. He owned and operated a gas station before retirement. He was born at Buffalo Run, Centre County, on Sept. 7, 1894, a son of George G. and Mary (McDivitt) Stine, and on April 29, 1920, at Matternsville married Ruth O. Hoffman. [Burns-ed.] Surviving are his wife, three children, Raymond of Carlisle RD 1, Herman of Billsburg RD 2 and Mrs. Mary Alice Beamer of Mechanicsburg RD 3; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Crust of Milroy. Mr. Stine was a member of the Tyrone Masonic Lodge, Altoona Scottish Rite bodies, Jaffa Shrine Temple, and a trustee of the Emmanuel Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Tyrone. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the Tyrone Legion Post and past commander of the Port Matilda Legion Post. He was active in Scouting for 40 years, and was given the Silver Beaver award. Friends will be! received in the Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. -------------------- STINE--Services for Samuel R. Stine of 4019 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, formerly of Tyrone, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone, by the Rev. Frederick Sowler. Interment in Bald Eagle Cemetery.
