    3. This came to my e-mail and thought it might help someone. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jim <goquebec@free.fr> Date: Sat, Dec 26, 2009 at 6:05 PM Subject: Circa 1850 envelope to Balser WEBER of Howard, Pennsylvania from Burgwindheim, Bavaria To: JKHouser84@comcast.net Hi JKHouser84-I recently found a photo of an old envelope that Balser WEBER of Howard, Pennsylvania received from Burgwindheim, Bavaria in about 1850. You can see the envelope on http://philgen.org (search on Balser, click on View, and scroll to the bottom of the page) or click on the link below. I found your posting on RootsWeb that includes Balser WEBER. Is he one of your ancestors? If he is, the envelope may give you a clue as to where in Bavaria your ancestors are from. Here is a direct link to the photo of the envelope: http://philgen.org/index.php?option=com_fabrik&c=form&view=details&Itemid=10&fabrik=5&rowid=772&fabrik_cursor=0&fabrik_total=1&tableid=5&lang=us The reason I have a photo of the envelope is because of my interest in using old envelopes and postcards in genealogical research. I have an article in the spring 2009 issue of New England Ancestors entitled Philatelic Genealogy (viewable on the philgen website) and have started the philgen website. I do not know if the letter that was in the envelope still exists. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Jim Miller
