Matlock Kephart Tate was born 26 Sept 1885, probably in Centre or Clearfield County, and was the son of William Clark Tate (1863-1932) and Ada W. Kephart (1859-1928). William and Ada were living in Roanoke, Virginia in 1900, Cleveland, Ohio in 1910, 1920 and 1930. William died in Miami Florida, and was buried in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Ada died in Shaker Heights, Ohio and was also buried in Clearfield. I located Matlock Kephart Tate and his wife, Mildred in Lima, Allen County, Ohio in the 1920 and 1930 census, as well as the WWI draft registration. He was born 26 Sept 1885 in Pennsylvania, and married about 1917 to Mildred M. born about 1890 in Virginia. The 1930 census indicates they had one child, Jana B. aka Jane Beverlin Tate, born 11 Jan 1922 in Ohio (probably in Allen Co) and died (apparently unmarried) 28 Dec 1998 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I would like to know what happened to Matlock and Mildred Tate after 1930 as I have been unable to locate any records for either of them after 1930. Ellen
