    2. Paul and list, The Milesburg Cemetery was established in 1793 at the same time Milesburg was laid out. I would assume the land was given by the Miles family for use as a community burial ground. Thus it was not associated with a church and there are no known burial records. That is not to say, however, that if the local churches buried their dead in it they might have kept a record of that. The churches in Milesburg going back that far include a Baptist Church, Presbyterian Church, and Methodist Church. Milesburg Cemetery's oldest gravestone dates to 1794 and the last burial was about 1909. The cemetery is believed to be completely full. It had lain in disrepair for some years before having been cleaned up by Scouts in 1980. It is in a good state of upkeep today.
