Thanks, Jean, for sharing this. Folks would do well to check the entire list. They are grouped alphabetically, but many names are not in the right categories. I noticed that many of our old Centre County names are not listed. Does anyone know why this would be? Did folks rent land? Or were there a lot of sales of land to others? Are these records available? Were there other means to acquire land in Centre County other than land warranties? Did some folks just find a piece of land and settle on it? It would be interesting to know more about this piece of our history.
