After a very brief trip to Philipsburg this summer I discovered who my husbands great grandparents were. John(Jack) and Jennie Lythgow Morris are buried in the Philipsburg cemetery. I do know they had two daughters, Mae Rebecca and Pearl. Mae Rebecca married Robert Mc Clement. Pearl married Arthur Johnson. If anyone has any information on this family I would appreciate any help I can get. I was always told that Morrisdale was named after the Morris family, but can't find a connection. A gentleman at the cemetery told me there were lots of other Morris's buried there, but since I wasn't ever sure if John and Jennie were related at the time I didn't get any of the info.
