    1. [PACENTRE] Re: Spring Twp. burial site of John Woodard and Lucy Washburn Wood...
    2. Carol, Before 1853 Spring Township included all of Benner Township and part of what is now College Township. The burial sites around in 1841 were: Union Cemetery in Bellefonte (most folks from the region were buried here) St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Bellefonte Purdue Family Cemetery (now in Benner Twp.) Larimer Family Cemetery (believed to have been destroyed) Rearick Family Cemetery (believed to have been destroyed) An old cemetery in Hunters Park (no longer extant) Axemann Cemetery (no longer extant) In the case of the above cemeteries I know the locations of all of them. Gravestone inscriptions and limited records for Union and St. John's exist. Purdue has gravestone inscriptions recorded. I have no record of the others, save from an article in 1893 which listed the burials in the cemetery at Hunters Park.
