You may already have this, but just in case.... In the Tadpole Cemetery in Ferguson Twp., on what was the Frederick Gates farm but is now the Wheeland farm, are these graves: Mother, Elizabeth Pyle, died Aug. 4, 1865, aged 75 years, 8 months, and 26 days. David Pyle died March 30, 1854, aged 72 years, 2 months, and 4 days. These markers are laying flat and under a tree. Most of the stones in this tiny graveyard were laid down flat in one row by a Mr. Mayes so he could mow it easier. He also buried many of the footstones in a corner of the cemetery. He is now dead. The cemetery is now in a good state of upkeep and cared for by people who appreciate its history and importance.
