" Franklin Bechdel, born in 1840. Regarding him we have no further definite information. So far, it has been impossible to ascertain whether or not he was the same "Frank Bechdel" who lived in Belleplaine, Minnesota in the late 1890's. Elderly descendants of the Working family recall hearing their parents speak of visiting such a person, in their youths. It is possible that this relative was Franklin, son the son of Christina Working Bechdel."
