    3. I received a response from someone on this list several days ago that contained a virus "WORM_BADTRANS.B". I had to delete the email without opening it, losing both the message and email address. I believe the person's name was Marge Wilcox although I'm not sure of the person's last name. If you are this person, could you please resend the message? (After cleaning up the virus problem of course ;.) Tm Mease

    1. [PACENTRE] Re-sending Virus-infected Message

    3. Tim and other list members, I have seen several messages similar to this one lately, so I thought it might be a good idea to comment. When we receive a virus-infected message from someone, it is not that the person is sending a message that becomes infected with the virus. It is the virus itself that sends the message. There IS no message from the person. I think it's important to clarify this fact., because if we think we will be receiving a legitimate message from the person, we are more likely to open a subsequent message from the same person. Have a good day, all. And remember what have now become the first two rules of genealogy: 1. Update your antivirus regularly. 2. NEVER open an attachment unless you are absolutely certain what it is!
