My grandfather dipped snuff, Copenhagen to be exact. I was a teenager and it was the first time I had ever seen anyone do that. Until that point, I had always thought only people in the South did that. I don't know where I got that thought from, but that is what I believed. I remember just how gross it was to watch him spit...ugh! Both he and his wife came from a family of long-time coal miners, though he himself wasn't one. He had myriad of jobs in his lifetime, but his last job was owning a Texaco station in Philipsburg. Susan
