Eleazar Henderson, Huston Twp, Pvt Co F 59th PA Reg Cavalry, Dec 19, 1861-Dec 19 1864. (Is this a brother of Alpharetta or her father? Huston Twp taxpayers 1840 included David Moore with no land or livestock. Woodrings were early settlers in Huston Twp from Berks County, PA about 1815. Fulton Tavern in Huston Twp had an Archy Moore as proprietor briefly. Jan 27, 1846, the Centre Co Colporteur Association was formed. David Moore was Secty. (What is a Colporteur Association?) August 1863, David Moore drafted from Patton Twp. Aug 1862 - May 1863, Patton Twp, David T. Moore served in Co I 136th. April 7, 1867, a fire at Stormstown, Half-Moon Twp destroyed (among other things) furniture and household belongings of David Moore. Bellefonte Academy, David Moore teacher in 1845. Many of my Moores were in the Woodring family history written by Homer Woodring of Catawissa Pa. He may be deceased now. It was a non computer hand typed work. The surviving Moores I believe are Methodists.
