Trying to locate parentage for one Ellen C. Wise (1841-1919) who m/1 29 Jan 1861 (presumably in Centre Co.) to John C. Shuey (1838-1873). After his 1873 death, she m/2 20 May 1880 to his cousin, John W. Shuey (1826-1900). Ellen's dates, as given here, are from a tombstone in the Boalsburg Cemetery, Harris Twp., Centre Co. This stone doesn't appear to match up with any other Ellen Shuey, so we assume it to be hers even though both husbands appear to be buried in the Shiloh Lutheran Cem. of College Township, Centre Co. Using the 1919 year of death, I have TWICE applied for a copy of her death certificate and been told TWICE that there is none -- from the PA Dept of Health. I would love to learn her parents' names and SPECIFIC information regarding her birthdate, birthplace, date and place of death. Don't know what more to ck.
