    2. Fred, Yes, it measures in perches unless you tell it otherwise. A perch is sometimes called a rod and, in southern states, a chain -- 16-1/2 feet. You can also set it for feet; it measures in degrees, minutes, etc. All very convenient. Alas, the thing has been discontinued. If you send me a copy of your deed with a self-addressed stamped envelope, I will return to you a print-out map of the property as this thing draws it, when I get around to it. How about that?
