Well, I was quite surprised this morning, upon visiting the PACENTRE Website, to find an admixture of LYON, STEWART, and PATTON at: http://searches1.rootsweb.com/usgenweb/archives/pa/centre/history/local/pgap01.txt John LYON married a STEWART and had issue, among his 10 children (!), one John *Patton* LYON. It looks to me as if John LYON either very much admired the fellow of the surname PATTON, or possibly had a kind of connection via family. Although I am not extremely interested in delineating the whole LYON Genealogy, I am particularly interested in that family and in the history and biography associated with it. Not that I intend to write a book or anything. That is just not for me, though I often post articles on the web (see my STEWART entry on Dauphin County's Site). Justin, your list administrator (and apparently a very hard worker in the list's behalf!) is kindly assisting me when he can. I am very grateful for this, you can bet!
