OK, while we are in a Watson mode, let me toss mine back in the ring! Seeking any information on Joseph WATSON, b. 9 May 1813, d. 24 July 1889. He m. abt 1835 Mary Ann SELLERS (1816-1882) Mary Ann was from Lebanon County. Their eldest son, William Wesley was born in Milesburg, Centre County. By 1850, the family was in Clearfield County. I have some WATSONs from Chester and Bucks Counties but have not been able to make connections and don't know if there are any. Mary Ann's mother was a CLEAVER from Tyler Co, West Virginia, so mabe the Watsons were from there, but I can trace the SELLERS back to Chester County. Have lots on William Wesley and his siblings, but he does not seem to fit James Riddle Watson's family and I have not been able to fit him into the William Watson/Catherine Griffin family of same era and similar location either! How could there be three DIFFERENT Watson families this early in Centre County history? HELP! Hi all -- Yes, let's work on the Watsons. My James Watson of Potter's township had several sons who must have fathered lots of Watson descendants but so far, I haven't found any information about them or their offspring. I haven't been able to find information about these sons of James Watson: John Watson, born @1776 Thomas Watson, born @ 1777 James Watson, born @ 1783. There must be some information about what happened to them somewhere. These are all in the age range that they could have fathered Judy's Joseph, so perhaps we can kill two birds with one stone, or at least eliminate this line from consideration. I have been corresponding with Judy and am hoping we are distantly related. Can anyone help? Thanks to everyone who has responded to my original post. The information has already filled in some gaps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judith Heald" <jwh6@psu.edu> To: <PACENTRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2002 8:36 AM Subject: [PACENTRE] Watson's continued > OK, while we are in a Watson mode, let me toss mine back in the ring! > > Seeking any information on Joseph WATSON, b. 9 May 1813, d. 24 July 1889. > He m. abt 1835 Mary Ann SELLERS (1816-1882) Mary Ann was from Lebanon > County.
