Liz, There were two detailed maps done of the region in that era. The first one was done in 1861 and is a large wall map of Centre Co. A few are known to exist; copies are on file at the Centre County Library in Bellefonte. The residences of people are shown on the map. A similar map was done in 1874 and was published as an Atlas of Centre County. Each page shows a different township. The residences of individuals are shown on the map. This book has been reprinted by the Centre County Historical Society, 1001 E. College Ave., State College. When I bought mine they were $32.00. I use it quite often. Justin Justin Kirk Houser Genealogist/Researcher of Central PA and Beyond Main Lines: Houser, Breon, Shawley, Ranio/Hrynio (and others) President, BAHS Class of 2003 Student Representative, BASD Board of Education Listowner, PACENTRE-L@Rootsweb.com Historian, Schürch Association of North America (specialty Central PA lines) Member, Valley View United Methodist Church "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature"
