    3. All, I am a new subscriber to this list and would like to introduce myself. I am Kevin Sholder, a native of Lycoming county and Centre counties. My parents were both born in Lycoming county and moved to Pleasant Gap / Bellefonte before moving to Dayton, OH in 1969. I've been a resident of Dayton ever since, but all of my relatives are from Lycoming county. My direct ancestor Christian August Scholderer, that came from Germany in 1832 and settled in Centre County. He and his wife (Anna Lutscher) of about a year had their first two children born in Centre County (Elizabeth Sholder and Christian Sholder). They then moved to Lycoming county sometime after their son Christian was born (31 Jan 1835) and their next child Samuel born in 1837. I have recently found documents that indicate Christian also traveled with his mother (Christina Margareta former wife of Johann Jacob Scholderer, widow nee Kaiser) and step-father (Johann Jacob Sigmund) to this country presumably to join his half-brother (Samuel Friedrich Sigmund) who came to this country in 1819. I am looking for the following information or leads on obtaining it: Cemetery's that have the Sigmund name and possibly their grave sites. Thanks, Kevin L. 3. Kevin - I did not locate any Sigmunds buried in Centre Co, but there are a lot of them buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Lamar Twp, Clinton Co, PA. One is: Rosannah Margaret/Rosina b.Feb 19, 1799 d.Feb 28, 1867 and is w/o S. F. Sigmund. She was born in Wittenburg, Germany. Sigmunds lived in Lock Haven and the ones I knew had red hair and freckles. 3. Kevin, I have letters from a Jacob Sigmund (of Clinton County) who served in the PA 7th Cavalry, 80th Rgt, in the Civil War, alsong with my great-grandfather, Hiram W. Brilhart, who was from Centre County. Jake Sigmund was killed in action, April 2, 1865, at Selma, Alabama. I have a small photo of him. Let me know if you find a connection to this Jacob Sigmund.
