HI All - I continue to research my Watson line and now have information on all but two of my ancestors children. I have linked up with a few other people who are also researching their Watson ancestors and we are trying to get complete information about all the Watson lines in Centre County and surrounding areas hoping that we can straighten out all the James, Thomas, Johns, and Williams once and for all. I am looking for information on a son John born about 1774 and mentioned in his fathers will in 1822, so I presume he was still alive. I do not have a copy of the will -- just some notes that someone made. Several people in our Watson research group have ancestors who are of the correct age to be children of John, so if I find the names of his children we either eliminate him as a possibility or celebrate a breakthrough. I am also looking for marriage information for Hattie Watson, who was the youngest child, probably born after 1804 so possibly married around 1824 or so. Is Hattie a nickname for Harriet? Does anyone have any advice about how to proceed? Is it likely that there will be any additional information about John in the actual will such as the place he was living? Other sources? I consider myself still a novice at this, so if anyone has any advice, I would be grateful. Janet Watson
