Hi, In my database I have a Fillmore Thomas Craig, born about 12 Oct 1911 at Julian, Huston Twp, Centre Co, PA, as a son of James Brown Craig and his wife and Myrtle G. (Metzler) Craig. He married my father's first cousin, Dorothy Geraldine Garbrick, born 19 Jul 1919, died 5 Sep 1949 (both b & d at Shingletown, Harris Twp, Centre Co, PA), she was a d/o Albert and Matilda (Jordan) Garbrick -- Albert Garbrick being a brother of my paternal grandmother. I show the aforementioned Fillmore Thomas Craig as dying 22 Mar 1952 at Danville, Montour Co, PA. Fillmore and Dorothy are buried at Boalsburg, Harris Twp, Centre Co, PA. I show only one child born to this couple, he being: James Albert Craig, born 15 Jan 1947 at Bellefonte, died 15 Jul 1968 at Bellefonte, buried 18 Jul 1968 at Boalsburg. Never married. My database also showed your Fillmore Craig married to Mary Yothers, but I had no detail on them until seeing your e-mail. They were "connected" to a son, Daniel Craig (1883-1945) whose obit follows -- "Daniel Craig of Julian RD died at 9:27 a.m. yesterday in the Lewistown Hospital where he was a patient 4 days. Mr. Craig who became ill the day he entered the hospital, was 61. Born at Julian, June 2, 1883, he was the son of Fillmore and Mary Yothers Craig. Three brothers, James, Irvin and Robert, all of near Julian survive. The deceased was employed by the P.R.R. at Lewistown. He was a member of the Julian United Brethren Church. Funeral services will be held at the Irvin Craig home at 4 p.m. Wed., with Rev. Harry J. Daniels of Port Matilda officiating. Interment will take place in Julian cemetery. Friends may call at the Irvin Craig home Tuesday evening." I also have an Irvin T. Craig, born 16 Oct 1886 at Julian, Huston Twp, Centre Co, PA, died Aug 1970; m. Mabel A. Morrisey (1902-1983), whose obit follows -- Her obituary from the CENTRE DEMOCRAT of 6 Jul 1983 reads: "Funeral services for Mabel A. Craig, 81, of Julian R.D. 1, were held Sun. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg, with the Rev. Dr. Edward E. Lindsey of Julian R.D. officiating. Burial was in Julian Cemetery, Huston Township. She died Thurs., June 30, 1983 at Centre Community Hospital. Mrs. Craig was born in Tyrone, Nov. 25, 1902, a daughter of John C. and Mabel M. Dixon Morrissey. Her husband, Irvin Craig, died in 1970. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret M. Walk of Bellefonte and Violet O. Craig of Julian R.D.; two sons, John S. of Julian R.D. and Walter A. of Julian; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Craig was a member of Brookside Wesleyan Church, Julian." In addition to the children named in her obit, they also had a son, Clarence Earl Craig, born 26 Apr 1921 at Tyrone, Blair Co, PA, died March 1966, who m. 17 Nov 1945 at Bellefonte, to my 4th cousin, Betty Jane Shuey, d/o James I. and Ethel L. (Fye) Shuey. I show that Betty was b abt 1926 in Centre Co, but have no other details on her, nor on any family they might have had (or have). There are other Craigs in my database as well.
