Folks: I've been a member of this list for quite a while now, and have been successful in making contact with other researchers, and finding a vast amount of informaiton on the Smeal family of Clearfield Co., PA and the familys that married into that line. I have recorded many many members of this family, have been lucky enough to track down photo's of some, old letters from others, but most folks are a name, a place and a date. But... what were there thoughts?, their hopes? their dreams? their advise?, Not all of us are lucky to have an ancestor like Renee does who was an avid journaler. As I am preparing to send the letters for our August 2002 reunion, I want to compile a booklet of the thoughts, dreams, memories and advise of the older members of the family, as well as the dreams of the youngsters.
