I'm seeing two separate references to persons named KEEN: 1. Catherine Keen (b. 10 Dec 1801; I have no death date or or location for either the birth or death); married Michael Hockman, for whom I have conflicting birth dates: either 1810 or according to someone else 23 Nov 1799; this couple lived in the house now owned by an Amishman at Spring Bank, east side of PA Rt 445 as just north of the gap between Penns Valley and Brush Valley. Their son Daniel Hockman (12 Oct 1830, Brush Valley - 24 Aug 1910, WaKeeney KS, bur. at Horton KS) and his wife Nancy (Moyer) Hockman named their 4th child Michael Keen Hockman, born in Stephenson Co IL but later moved with parents to Horton KS). So this Keen name made it to Kansas. 2. Elizabeth Keen and husband Adam Stamm of "Tussey sink" had 14 children, of whom the 5th George Stamm was born at Tussey sink 2 July 1808. So this Keen woman might have been born ca. 1775 - 1785. Any info on her? Is it possible that Catherine #1 (above) was the daughter of a brother of Elizabeth (#2 above)?
