Jean, Philipsburg was founded in 1797. From that time until 1800 it is my GUESS that it would have been in that part of Lycoming County that later became Centre. From Feb. 13, 1800 forward it was part of Centre. Part of Philipsburg lies over the creek and is thus in Clearfield County -- a very small part, however. Most of that part on the Clearfield side is called Chester Hill Borough. Hi Does anyone know if Philipsburg was part of another county before Centre? Also, the way it's situated according to the maps, is part of Philipsburg in Centre Co. and part in Clearfield Co.? Just Curious?! Nancy, Is this an annual event? We cannot make it this year but 2003 and 2004 are possibilities. Is there anyway I can mark our calendar now for next year or the year after. I would very much like to be there. Mary Ann Buswell =============================================================== ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy J.
