Since this is a public List, the only way anyone would not be "kept on the list," in my understanding, is to proactively "Unsubscribe" via the conventional method. Of course, any private discussions would no longer be part of this List. So I believe the question is not whether to be kept on this List, but whether to take a particular discussion offline, which, as someone else has stated, basically defeats the purpose of having the List. How many times have we found a particular discussion tiresome (brings to mind the ole' Pace Picante Sauce thread).
