Darren if you can get to a Family History Center you may find a probate on Ashley L Pace Probate records on Film 1838-1888 Texas Probate Court Fannin Co to see if he notes a son John A Pace and what other Children names were I also found on Ancestry.com Name Araminta Davis -m- 20 Dec 1860 to Ashley L Pace married in Fannin Co Tx Texas marriage 1851-1900 also Ashley L Pace -m- 30 July 1856 Louisiana Gilbert in Fannin Co Tx " " " I have found several People Claiming info on Ashley L Pace Children but not one have noted any Documentation all say From Gedcom or Noble Pace info did not find much documentation tho, maybe Census, but that not enough , one person note Josephine age 12 female and Robt Pace age 11 in House hold of John Hampton HH wife Sister to Louisana on the 1870 Census which does not agree with the Jos or Jas Pace age 4 Male & Daug Mary 4/12 in Ashley L 1860 Cen one would think he would farm out a 4 month Baby girl Mary to someone else to feed her as they take so much Care rather than send if he had any other children away I have cked the 1860 Cen for a Robert Pace age 1 and a Josephine Pace age 2 none found but they magically appear in John Hampton HH in 1870 age 12 for Josephine and age 11 for Robert these are Children Bruce and some claim were Children of Ashley L Pace ... Too Bad we can't totally rely on Census but we do know they have error on them... So I for one don't know what to make of this ... as one could assume Children names on the 1860 Census of Ashlely L Pace were totally wrong and their names were not Jos and Mary and that thier names were Josaphine & Robert its a bit of stretch but possible with Census info being wrong at times..Mostly wrong on ages rather than names tho. occasionaly I have seen one reported as male when was female and one sure can't rely on ages Another possibility is for someone to get Death Records of Josephine O.
