This past week I was helping proof a document transcription for the Pace Society document database that has a mention of a David Mimms. David Mimms was a purchaser at the Edgecombe Co., NC estate sale of William Pace recorded at the August 1748 court. I don't know if there is any connection at all as I have not studied the Mimms family. One of his descendents was a Robert Mims, son of Lionel Mims who was born abt.1685 in St.Peter's Parish, New Kent, Virginia and died about 1732 in Bertie County, North Carolina Also mentioned is a Benjamin Mims , b .before June 13, 1710 in New Kent County. He mentioned Judith Woodson. The Woodson family was later in Goochland, and Fluvanna Counties and married into the Pace families. So maybe someone can find who this Sarah Pace, wife of Robert Mims is by tracing the Mims family into North Carolina ==== PACE Mailing List ==== To share info which may be of interest to others, reply to the mail list (PACE-L@rootsweb.com). Here's another Mims/Pace connections in case it jumps out to someone as a clue: Shadrack Mims/Knowel [also Knowles] Pace: Nicholas Ware, Edward Bond, Wm. Buckner Jenkins were witnesses to Knowel Pace's will signed 1776 in Wilkes Co., GA. Nicholas Ware, Isaac Pery, Shadrack Mims, Bazil Lamar, appointed appraisers. There was a Buckner Pace in Wake Co., NC. 1790 census and 1800 census. Not sure whether any connection to this Wm. Buckner Jenkins who also witnessed the earlier Pace will. - Joyce Harris -----Original Message----- From: Rebecca Christensen [mailto:rchristen@sbcglobal.net] Sent: Sunday, May 21, 2006 9:54 AM To: PACE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PACE-L] Robert Mims m.
