Also when an issue is being discussed on the list it's a lot easier for everyone to follow the discussion if everything goes to the list. I don't understand the point you are making. I don't think there's any doubt who owned the land referred to in the transaction of 1721. The 1000 acres was originally patented in 1692 by Mrs Rebecca Poythress, widow of Francis Poythress. By 1721, 500 acres belonged to Littleberry Epes, 200 acres belonged to Burrell Green, and the other 300 acres belonged to Rebecca Poythress, daughter of Francis Poythress (dec'd) and his wife Rebecca. That's two Rebeccas. The other Rebecca mentioned on the page you sent is the daughter of John Poythress. Are you suggesting that that Rebecca might have been the wife of Richard Pace? Is there any reason to think so?
