    3. Hi All, the question was asked would a Grnfather name a child born out of wedlock .. John R Pace of Harlan Co Ky named four Grandchildren in his probate all with different fathers names one of his daughter Had these children .. 3 of them carried the Pace name one of them Carried the Natural fathers name.. think in part because his father did reconize him..when he was older ..altho he also was a married man and after his wife died he claimed the King son the other fathers were also married men who made a visit apparently to John R Pace 's daughter ..We got the Death Cert and all had different fathers names.. same Mother ....Has Anyone tried to get Death Cert of McDaniel Pace ??     2. My question was different. Sorry if it wasn't very clear. Larry suggested that McDaniel's mother could have been Zilpha Batten Pace, John Pace's daughter-in-law. I was asking, "if that were the case would John Pace have been likely to name the child as grandson, given that he would NOT have been John Pace's grandson or any blood relation at all?" Personally I think the answer is no, but as I said before, anything is possible.
