Here is an abstract of a will made by a Thomas Pacey in Maryland in 1666. Apparently, the only heir and descendant (?), was a female named Jemima Long. Ref: The Maryland Calendar of Wills, Volume I, Wills from 1635 (Earliest Probated) to 1685, Pages 28‑40, at http://www.usgennet.org/usa/md/state/wills/01/028.html Pacey, Thomas, Charles Co., 3d Nov., 1666; 2d May, 1667. Jemima Long, execx. and sole legatee. In event of death of sd. Jemima without issue, estate to be used for free schools. Test: Wm. Turnor, Griffith Jenkins. 1. 272. On the same page as the Pacey abstract is an abstract of a 1665 will made in Anne Arundel Co. It lists Robert Paca as a Testator. Robert Paca was the great grandfather of William H. Paca, signer of the Declaration of Independence. There will be more on the Paca subject later. --------------------------------- New Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.
