The name spencer has been used several time in my extended family. Mary Susan Gregory Pace, wife of Richard A. Pace. b. 1845, named our daughter, Bessie Spencer Pace Edna Pace, dau. of John Walker Pace,b . 1843, married Harvey Spencer Seay of Fluvanna County. He was the son of Cornelius Seay and Willie Melton. Richard Pace and John Walker Pace were brothers. Edna Pace was the dau. of John Walker Pace and Rebecca Ann Robinson b. 1853 in Fluvanna to David C. Robinson and Mary A. Herndon Mary A. Herndon, My grgrandmother was a sixth generation descendent William Herndon and Catherine Diggs. b.1654 in Orange Co.
