    3. page 771, ADVENTURERS OF PURSE & PERSON, Vol II 16. REBECCA PACE died by July 1762 when JOHN BRADFORD as surviving eldest son of JOHN BRADFORD asked for administration on his estate unadministered by Rebecca the widow. END Her second husband William Aycock was still alive (died before May 1765, Johnson co, NC). What I don't understand is that this is 22 years after her marriage to Aycock. This would be Col. John of Halifax Co. who asked for administration, b. abt 1730. I have not run into the above document before this book.... Maybe because it was filed in Johnson Co... No clue.... Anyway that gets one to Winifred.... No clue who widow Hannah Pitt is. There was a Capt. Pitt mentioned in a Surry doc, when his ship burned, but think that was some earlier.

    3. There is a record of a case of trespass 14 Sept 1677 involving a Captain Arthur Allen Pit. Richard Pace is on the jury. He could not be Hannah's husband but possibly from the same family? John Barker's father William Barker was also a sea captain. Becky Mosely <beckymosely@comcast.net> wrote: No clue who widow Hannah Pitt is. There was a Capt. 3. I misread this. It doesn't say "Arthur Allen Pit", it says "Arthur Allen Plt" (plaintiff). Should have realized that, because clearly this "trespass" case refers to Bacon's Rebellion, when Nathaniel Bacon and his men took over Arthur Allen's house. gnlgy458 <gnlgy458@yahoo.co.uk> wrote: There is a record of a case of trespass 14 Sept 1677 involving a Captain Arthur Allen Pit.
