Some of the information may be a duplicate of information you all ready have. I will start with the Pace linage on the paternal side then on the maternal side of the family, Blair. Great Grandfather: Jim or James pace. Married a Sarah or Sadie Hawkins. Jim or James lived in Kentucky or Missouri. Later (date unknown) moved to Haskell county Kansas. He is buried in Ivanhoe village, Haskell County, Kansas. That is all the information we have on him. She was born in Missouri (date unknown). She is buried in Lamar, Colorado. The only two children we know of is William Floyd Pace ( my Grandfather ) and Presley Pace. No other dates or placed lived or history on her family is known. William Floyd Pace (my Grandfather) was born in Kentucky or Missouri. Do not know for sure as of yet. He married my Grandmother (Ada Mae Blair) at an unknown date in Kansas. He lived in Kansas, Illinois, and Colorado. Died in 1947, and is buried in Lamar, Colorado. Ada Mae Blair Pace: She was born on December 11,1896 at Fort Sheridan, Ill. At a young age she moved with her family in a covered wagon to Kansas. Married William Floyd Pace (Grandfather) and lived in Kansas and Ill. She died in 1961 and is buried at Aiken, Ill. I know she lived in Garden City, Kansas, Zion, Ill., in northern Ill and Aiken, Ill., southern Ill. She had her first child, my father (James S. Pace) at the age of 14. They had four children: Fredrick or Floyd Pace, never know him as he died in prison somewhere in Kansas before I was born. you can post this information if you chose to. Eunice Pace Graham. She had one child Irwin, do not know where he is. She lived in Zion, Ill. Do not know when or where she died. Peggy Pace Dixon, she had a boy and a girl. She was murdered in her early twenty's, you can post this information if you want. No idea where her children are. She lived in Zion, Ill. Zion is in the northern part of the state. James Sylvester Pace (my father) born December 10, 1910, in Garden City, Kansas, Finny county. He died on November 23, 1985 and is buried in Santa Rosa County, Milton, Florida. He married my mother Gladys Fern Dixon Pace in 1940 or 1941. Divorced in 1953 in Northern Ill., Lake county. They had five children. The only other relative known is uncle Presley Pace who lived in Garden City, Kansas and had some sort of shop there. As of yet, I can go no further back than that on the Pace family. My Grandmother Ada Mae Blair Pace: Her father was William Blair. All we know about him is that he was in the US Army. 22 Infantry, Charlie Company. (we have an emblem for that unit) He served in the west, possibly Montana. My sister has his service revolver. That's all the information we have on him. As a child I remember playing with his saber at my Grandmothers house, do not know what happened to it. My Great Great Grandparents on the Blair side. All that is known about them are that they are buried near Highland Park, Ill. That is all the information I have at this time. I have just started and as I discover additional information I will advise you. If I should be posting this information some place else, let me know.
