There is a connection among the Paces, Champions and Woodsons. Cuthbert Champion (b. c. 1755, Northumb. Co., VA - d. 1823, Fluv. Co., VA, mar. Elizabeth Williamson) had a son, John Champion (1785-1860), who mar. Rebecca Woodson, 1Dec 1804, Fluv. Co. John and Rebecca Champion had a daughter, Mary C. Champion who mar. James Pace (parents of my grandfather, Charles Moore Pace). Cuthbert Champion's father was Moses Champion, who mar. Frances Hudnall. Moses Champion's father was John Champion. I do not know how Cuthbert Champion was related to Jesse Pace, if at all, but one would think so. Kathy Best
