Bill and Nancy: The parents of your William Floyd Pace was James McClung Pace and Susanna Elizabeth Hawkins. James was b. 4/16/1851 in Edmonson Co, KY and died 3/21/1926 in Kansas. They married 11/22/1877 in Edmonson Co. His siblings were Tyra H. Pace, Jehru John Doc, Susanna (married a Blair) Presley O'dire, William Wall (had a son named Presley O.) Mary A., John W., Sarah E., Lettetia and Rachel. James was a son of Benjamin J. Pace b. 1801 VA, d 10/17/1859 Edmonson Co, and Catherine B. Hawkins b. 1811, d 1896, married abt 1828. Benjamin was a son of Edward M. Pace, Sr. b. 1761 Goochland Co, VA, d. bef 1820, married Susanna Johnson. With your information I was able to find James McClung Pace on the 1880 census of Edmonson Co, KY with wife Susan and son William F., age 1 (born in Edmonson Co, KY) They were also on the 1900 census of Haskell Co, Kansas with sons James P. and Frederick R. This census shows that they had been married 22 years and had 9 children. William Floyd Pace had apparently already moved out on his own. I don't know the names of the other children nor whether they were still living. This lineage goes back several more generations to John Pace of Middlesex, VA, who, according to the results of the Pace DNA study, had parents from Shropshire England in the middle 1600's. Gordon W.
