    3. Sammy, it not unsual for a guy to go to where his bride is in GA and marry her and take her back to his home in NC ..but I know that No proof ...would be nice if those that have proof of these guys below to help you out (((grin))) Also need to tell you my index leaves name off so this is not totally accurate as I know there was a George Pace that married a Sarah Walker in Wake Co NC and they appear in in 1807 Clay Co Ky and is on the 1810 Clay Co Ky Cen age 45 years & Older but maybe he was in his father HH still On my 1790 Index list there are 22 Pace in NC and I took the time to look at each one of them, Looking in the 2nd column which lists males 16 and under I know your John would have been 6 years old in 1790 so I picked out all Pace's who had Children 16 & under does not help much but give you and Idea who to ck out to see if they have a son born abt 1784 So all theses are possibility but remember col 2 is male child 16 & under and yours was age 6 North Carolina Pace's 1790 George Pace 1-2-4- Nash Co this guy does not appear on NC 1800 Cen or Any George anywhere on my 1800 Index all States George Pace 1-1-1 Franklin Co This guy does not appear on NC 1800 Cen Hardy Pace 2-2-3 Northampton Co this guy does not appear on NC 1800 Cen altho a Hardy appears on Chatham Co 1810 James Pace 2-3-3 Wake Co on 1800 Cen Wake Co Nc Stephen Pace 1-2-4 Edgecombe Co this guy maybe on the Johnston Co NC 1800 Cen John Pace 1-2-4 Edgecombe Co He maybe the JOhn in Wake Co NC Wm Pace 1-6-1Franklin Co His There is a William also a Jemima Pace on 1800 Cen John Pace 2-1-2 Franklin Co There is still a John on the 1800 Cen Stephen Pace 2-3-5 Anson Co There is now A Stephen Sr & Jr 1800 Cen Thomas Pace 2-2-3 Halifax Co No Thomas Pace on 1800 Cen NC Edmund Pace 1-1-3 Surry Co he is on the 1800He did have a son John but most seem to think born in the 1790's altho the 1810 Surry co Census show b-1784- to 1794 he married Elizabeth Pigg March 11, 1809 Surry Co NC using the 1784 he would have been age 25 when married so possible but I think the 1794 date is too young he would have been only 15 years old when married... and I did research this guy out but my memory is horrible and Miles prob has the most accurate on this family..as he does not put down unless he has something to back it up .. I do know he followed his father Edmund to some place's seem like Tn. Ala, and Edmund died I believe in MS ..So you might want to ck this John out more... Sarah Pace Widow of John Pace appears on the 1790 Cen with 2 females not on the 1800 Cen some say she died in 1791 and her land went to Edmond/Edmund abv So Sammy lots of Cking out ... Darlene
