    1. RE: [PACE-L] Alonzo Turner

    3. Thank you, Gordon. My problem is that I cannot determine who came before William Beverly Turner, born in Georgia in 1825, married Mary Ann Ragland on 20 Sept 1849 in Henry County, Georgia. She was born in 1830 in Henry County. In 1850 they were living with her father, Burwell Ragland in Henry County. I need to find a male descendent to have the DNA test; the only cousin I have found refuses. If I could find Alonzo's descendents (he was Wm. B. Turner's son--as was my great-grandfather), I might be able to persuade one of them to do the test. I have come to the conclusion that the name "Turner" is about as common as "Smith" or "Jones." But thanks for the information; if I ever do find a connection perhaps I can tie it all together.
