I don't have Bruce Howard Book, but does he say Richmond Pace died in Rev War..? and do any of you think this is our Richmond Pace of Surry Co NC as Surry was carved our ot Rowan Co NC in 1770 , When I sent for these I was under the impression these two Guys were in Surry Co NC Rev War Records ...but nothing on these records show Surry Co NC .... According to Papers both Dempsey and Richmond Pace recieved monies after the war....and they were listed in archives Rev War list as Surry Co NC yet records show this :Richmond received his thru Comptroller's Bruce & Hunter in Salisbury Dist in Rowan Co NC, date is July 30 1782 Dempsey received his from Sher. & Barrows or Bannows in Halifax Co NC in 1784, and in 1786 in Warrenton It is in Warren Co NC Richmond Pace received for Public Claim 6 pounds and four Shillings July 30 1782 Richmond was receiving his from the Salisbury Dist of NC Dempsey Pace received from Halifax Dist in 1784 and from the Warrenton Dist as late as 1786 monies. He also receive abt the same amt as Richmond Pace and later dates notes 27.0.0 so not sure if it still pounds or shillings...does not look like Dollars... The NC Archives did not have the actual enlistment Records on file, guess If I want to find out more will have to send somewhere else for them.....and not sure where one get Rev War Records ... Does anyone know... Darlene Pace
