In researching my maternal line, ran across these folks: LODWIG LUDWIG ALFORD (James Alford, John Alford) was born 1710 St. Peter's Parish, New Kent, VA and died before March 1799 in NC. He married REBECCA FERRELL, she was born abt. 1714 VA. He married SUSANNA CADE about 1736 in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent, VA. Children of L.L. Alford/Rebecca Ferrell: 1. Elizabeth Alford, b. 22 Dec. 1736 New Kent Co., VA married WILLIAM LANE, b. abt 1732 New Kent Co. VA 2. Jacob Alford, b. 12 Dec 1738 New Kent Co., VA married MARY PACE, b. abt. 1742, New Kent Co., VA 3. James Alford, b. 1741 married L. BOYKIN b. abt. 1745 Seven other children - one of which was named DRURY Alford. Child of L.L. Alford/Susanna Cade: (my line) 1. Julius Caesar Alford b. 1747 Franklin, NC married Rebecca Jackson.
