Darlene, Additional on Richmond Pace, pages 224 and 225 from Bruce's book: "The next son of John and Sarah was Richmond Pace. He was born in Prince George County, Virginia. His date of birth is established from the tax records of Surry County. He was born in the year 1758, and was brought as a child to old Edgecombe County where he was reared to his teen years. As we have already discussed the family moved to the upper part of Surry County where his father established a farm on Fisher River, now Fish River, just above its confluence with the Yadkin. "We have already discussed the fact that he was killed in a fight with Patriot Troops in the year 1780. We have further discussed the property which was granted in his name and how that property was separated into two tracts one for Mrs. Sarah Pace and the other for Richmond's widow, Elizabeth Pace. There is no doubt that Elizabeth remarried after the war ended and life began to settle down in the area. ...............She was still Elizabeth Pace in the year 1782, but is never found in any record by that name after that year."
