Uncle Doc died early this morning, so there isn't yet an official obituary from the paper. What follows is my limited information for those interested: Doris Carlton 'Doc' Pace died peacefully at his home in Bakerville, TN, on Oct 14th, 2008. Born Feb 28th, 1922, to Alzo Bryan Pace, Sr. and Eunice Gertrude Etheridge, 'Doc' served a successful career in the Navy from 1940 to 1961 and a second career with the Federal Social Security and Medicare Administrations before a final retirement in 1985. He was preceded in death by his wife Miriam 'Midge' (Cavender) Pace and is survived by their daughter Miriam Elizabeth (Pace) High and two grandsons. Services have not been scheduled at this time, but I'm fairly certain visitation will be in Waverly, TN, with interment in Bakerville, TN. Jon
