Sarah (Burgh) Brian's Obit: Brian Anders Seale SEALE Brian Anders Seale, 39, passed away in Broomfield, CO, on October 19, 2008. Born in Tallahassee, FL, December 6, 1968, Brian was a 1986 graduate of Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, FL. He attended Florida State University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Brian completed his bachelor's degree at Auburn University with a major in Political Science and International Relations while serving on active duty with the United States Air Force. Brian was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for "his superb computer technology skills resulting in improved utilization of space and resources including a 30 percent reduction in refill prescription processing time of 1,500 prescriptions per day with 100 percent accuracy for a patient populace of 66,000 at Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, Alabama." While serving in Montgomery, he met and married his wife of 16 years, the former Karen Lynn Hamilton, who survives him along with their three beautiful daughters, Nicole Eleanor Seale, Olivia Grace Seale, and Kate Marie Seale. Following his military service, Brian's career continued to focus upon leveraging computer technology to enhance the accurate and timely delivery of patients' pharmaceutical needs, principally as Regional and then Territorial Vice President of McKesson Information Solutions. He was passionate in his desire to contribute to the elimination of errors throughout the spectrum of Electronic Medical Records. Brian stood up for the less advantaged, and much of the focus toward the end of his life was upon identifying areas in which he could make a meaningful contribution in the area of patient advocacy. Not only did Brian strive to make a difference, he was very loving, generous, and dedicated to his family. Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Pace Baker, his maternal grandmother, Mary Catherine McGlon Pace, and his paternal grandparents Ben and Bauza Lee Seale. In addition to his wife and daughters, Brian is survived by his father and step-mother, Mike and Jan Seale of Acworth, GA; maternal grandfather, Jack Anders Pace of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Julie Seale Brown (Philip) of Macon, Georgia; brother, Shaun Seale of West Lafayette, IN; Patricia Pace Carson (Ralph) of Jacksonville, FL; Laura Cochran of Jacksonville, FL; Marianne Cochran of Jacksonville, FL; father-in -law and mother-in-law, Dave and Ellen Hamilton of Montgomery, AL; step-grandparents, James and Martha Johnson of West Lafayette, IN; as well as a niece, nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held for Brian on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at 11 AM at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church, 2137 Hendricks Ave., with Dr. Kyle Reese officiating.
