You'll probably recall that stories speculate that they were first on an island off the US coast, or that they came by way of South America, etc. Sorry, this message is going on my screen crosswise instead of up and down.     3. Yes, the Melungeons were a mixture, but these people do not seem to have any connection with the Melungeons, although they sound very similar.
